Welcome to Dracula's Forbidden Castle~
The literary character of Dracula was based on the Wallachian prince Vlad Tepes Dracul. His favored method of punishment was impaling thus he was given the name Tepes which in Romanian means impaler. He was known as Vlad the Impaler in Romania and in Turkey as The Impaler Prince. He had three reins as prince of Wallachia. The first was only for 2 months in 1448. The second and longest was in 1456 and lasted six years. The third was in 1475 and ended with his assassination in December of 1476. His was a cruel rein where any crime could be punished by impaling.
